The leading U.S. beauty retailer joins TSC to help develop and implement its climate goals 

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feburary 28, 2022 – The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) announced today that Ulta Beauty, the largest beauty retailer in the United States, joined as an All-Access member to support TSC’s climate goals and engage other members in deeper sustainability conversations. As a premier destination for cosmetics, fragrance, body, skin and haircare products as well as salon and beauty services, Ulta Beauty joins the growing home and personal care products sector of TSC members leading industries to create more sustainable practices and products. 

Ulta Beauty is committed to protecting the beauty of our world through its corporate initiatives in its store and at the product level. With more than 1,350 retail locations, the company’s sustainability efforts include diverting 14,800 tons of waste from landfill and, in 2021, investing $1.6 million in energy management system retrofits while  working towards greater sustainable packaging across its full assortment . In addition, Conscious Beauty at Ulta Beauty, the industry-leading effort, helps consumers identify clean ingredients, cruelty free, vegan, and sustainably-packaged brands and products.

As a member of TSC, Ulta Beauty will focus on engaging in consumer goods industry environmental impact conversations and leverage TSC’s science-based resources and tools. Ulta Beauty joins more than 100 TSC members working together on projects spanning topics such as plastic packaging and circularity, among other territories.
